Fulton St, which runs parallel to Atlantic Avenue on the main street, has fashionable cafes, bookstores, Tatoo parlors and nail salons, and further east, the Neapolitan-style pizzeria “Emily” and authentic New York-style bagels. There are many shops loved by locals, such as the "Bergen Bagel" shop.
Fort Greene is a safe residential area in Brooklyn rather than a downtown area. I often see white families pushing the strollers because of sefety area that is not smelling marijuana very much. It's a very charm town loved by local residents.

Korean supermarket loved by locals. Fresh fruits and vegetables are lined up under the eaves, and the old-fashioned greengrocery is nostalgic. The only shop in Fort Greene where you can get Japanese food.
